Everything's going to be okay.

Sometimes its easier said than done, but when life comes at you head on. I just like to remind myself that  everything's going to be okay. I will get through it, and just keep moving forward, because that's the only direction I can go. Forward.

This post is a little different than my other ones, I know. Things have been a little rocky for me lately. But I know that in the end, I'll be okay.

This song is my absolute favorite song. It puts a smile on my face whenever I hear it, and I have to sing a long. This song is a happy song, it makes me happy and it reminds me that, "whenever things get heavy, we'll all float on."

Modest Mouse-Float On

I will continue to float on...because that's all I can do. Just float.

Past and present bands that will never get old to me.

Everyone has that band that they will never get sick of, that every time they listen to their favorite song, it still makes you dance and sing like the very first time you listened to it. Even if it's bands that haven't toured in 20 years, and they haven't made a new album since then. Their songs will still make you headbang, dance, and sing. I don't know about you, but when that happens to me when I'm listening to the radio while driving, and that certain song comes on, I get excited,  have to turn it up, and yell out loud to myself, "I LOVE THIS SONG!" From then on, I'm dancing and singing like a fool in my seat.

This list goes from those motown soulful people, to the classic rock bands that have the insane guitar solos, to the legends that changed music, to the rappers lyrics that changed peoples beliefs, to the pop artists that have amazing dance moves, or that one band that just simply made you happy through the tough times. The bands silly lyrics that make you laugh, but enjoy listening to.

Now this list will go on forever.... So I'm going to shorten it to 20 bands/artists. You might even consider this as a little flashback as well.

Just some inspiration for the day!

'Merica Playlist

I created this playlist in the spirit of 4th of July, and I decided to list some great classics and the new-ish songs that are out there today. Let me remind you of some great artists/bands that have emerged out of this great country!

Time to celebrate our nations independence! And what better to say that your proud to be american then having an awesome, 'Merica playlist?

Please note that this list is based on MY opinion, it's not a fact. And the order that they are in doesn't make them better or worse, it's just a list. Also, I know these are not patriotic songs, they are just from awesome american bands! Come to think of it, I haven't realized how many bands come out of other countries... It's crazy!

1. Hotel California- The Eagles

2. JUMP- Van Halen

3. Californication-The Red Hot Chili Peppers

4. Pretender- Foo Fighters

'Merica Playlist Numero Dos

This one is a little different than my first playlist. Since the first one was songs that are FROM the great country that is the US of A, I decided to make another one that has the great songs of bands that are ABOUT  the US as well!

It's 4th of July! Time to celebrate our nations independence! And what better to say that your proud to be american then having an awesome, 'Merica playlist?

Here's a couple songs that I think are pretty amazing and are a good ambiance to grilling your meats and drinking your alcoholic beverages, while at the same time watching the fireworks go off in your cul de sac and yelling at the kids to stay out of the way, while little Jimmy gets hit by a spark in his sparklers and cries his eyes out to mommy. To far? Nah, I don't think so.

So raise your flags to us! USA USA USA!!

1. Born In The USA- Bruce Springsteen
You would've HAD to have saw that coming. I mean its Bruce! And I know the song isn't really saying, "I'm proud to be an American." It's more, "This is my country, this is what they do." But let's just forget that okay?

2. American Pie- Don Mclean
Another obvious but great song!

3. American Girl- Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers
Gotta love me some Tom Petty.

4. American Woman- The Guess Who
The band is canadian, but it still counts, right?

And for the 5th and final song for my playlist, that I actually stumbled upon that has no reason to be in this playlist but it's still a great song so I'm counting it.

5. Play That Funky Music- Wild Cherry
Caught you off guard with that one huh? Yeah it has no reason to be in here but saw it on YouTube and I had to put it in here. I really had too.
JUST KIDDING!!
It is a great song though....
I picked this little gem instead. I really had you there, HAHAHA LOOK AT YOUR FACE! Yeah..On to more important things...

5. Surfin' USA- The Beach Boys
DUHHH!
